We're proud to announce that MARIA VICTORIA HERNANDEZ (SII Class of 2006) has won the Best Documentary Prize at the Olleh International Smartphone Film Festival in South Korea for her film, "Sanitation."
"Sanitation" is the story of Wilito - a 13 year old boy who lives in Los Praditos, a slum in the heart of Santo Domingo, the capital city of Dominican Republic. It is in slums like this where a vast part of the working class lives. They have water and electricity shortages, being Sundays, the only day of the week they receive water. This micro-documentary follows Wilito through a typical Sunday in his "barrio".

The One Race Foundation is proud to announce that Jeff Emmanuel Fleuridort (class of 2014) has won the Best International Student Film award at the 2015 Manhattan Film Festival for his film Undocumented.
More good news! The Women's International Film and Arts Festival in Miami has selected gifted 2013 Alum Claudia Savi√Ī√≥n's original and humorous short, "Los Personajes de Paola" to screen in competition on Sunday, June 7th at 530pm.
Produced at the 2013 Summer Intensive Institute, Los Personajes de Paola, is the imaginative and colorful story of a writer struggling to finish her script. We are so pleased to announce the New York Premiere of Foundation Alumni Arismendy Hernandez' short film, "The Call" at the Manhattan Film Festival on Wednesday, June 24th 2015 at 7:00PM as part of the International Shorts Program.
Produced at the 2010 Summer Intensive Institute, The Call is the story of a man who discovers his wife‚Äôs infidelity and he seeks revenge by making a tempting offer to his housekeeper.
