HOMETOWN:  SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

I was born in Santo Domingo on October 22, 1992 and began my career in the arts at the age of only 9, when I participated in the 1st annual Festival of Voice at Apec Fernando Arturo de Merino College (CAFAM).  During the third annual version of the festival, at age 11, I won 1st prize, an honor I again repeated five years later at the 8th annual showing. In addition to these honors, I'm also an accomplished instrumental musician, playing 1st trombone for the APEC band, and have established himself as a pianist, flutist, and percussionist. In the further development of my artistic goals, I received honorable mention in a locally sponsored UN painting competition, earning honorable mention in the environmental division. In 2006 I began my acting career as a member of the CAFAM Theater Group, performing in such plays as: Hay un Pais en el Mundo, Harina de un Mismo Costal, and Presidio. Films soon became my real passion, and turned my attention to a career in acting on the big screen. I got his first break in the film business recently during auditions opposite more than 50 other actors, where I was selected for the lead role playing Caonabo in the ZaizMar Films, International feature film, Con Alas Pintadas, a cultural drama to be shot in early 2010 in the Dominican Republic.
