IN-SCHOOL PILOT PROGRAM 2009
On September 12th, 2009 - the ORF, in collaboration with our co-sponsor the Global Foundation for Democracy & Development (FUNGLODE), was proud to initiate the launch of the In-School Pilot Program at the Mauricio Baez Cultural Center which services the neighborhood of Villa Juana in the Dominican Republic.
The goal of the In-School Program is to teach the fundamentals of production to students who otherwise would not have the resources or equipment to find their voice, to enhance concepts such as critical thinking and writing, and to develop a passion for filmmaking at an early age that can later be cultivated into a strong workforce for the Dominican film industry.

MEET OUR CLASS OF 2009!!!
The fourth installment of the ORF Summer Intensive is up and running in full swing. While our students are busy learning the ins-and-outs of film production, we thought it would be a great opportunity to introduce you to this year's Class of 2009.
In particular, we're excited to embark on a new collaboration with Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti organization and are proud to have four students from Haiti joining our program in the Dominican Republic. This new venture would not be possible without the full support of the Government of the Dominican Republic. We are particularly indebted to the suppport of President Leonel Fernandez for making this possible.
